Watch this Nevada Pond Stirrer in action!

Pond mixing is a must! Here’s why…

1. WHY DEAL WITH MORE THAN YOU NEED TO? Nevada makes it possible to deal with just one product - no need to double up your jobs with separating solids and liquids.

2. MAINTAINS MAXIMUM STORAGE CAPACITY
This is achieved by mixing all the product thoroughly so that the effluent cannot fall out of suspense and sit on the floor of the pond thus building up over time and using up the ponds storage capacity.

3. INCREASES SERVICE LIFE OF THE EFFLUENT PUMP
Within effluent there is solids that can consist of the likes of sand which is very abrasive. When mixed effectively with the liquid it lessens the abrasion on the pump as the ratio of solids to liquid has become more consistent and even.
4. KEEPS THE POND LOOKING TIDY With all the effluent be stirred little and often it doesn’t allow for sludge or crust to build up on the surface.

5. EVEN SPREAD OF DAIRY EFFLUENT NUTRIENT Allows for an even spread of dairy effluent nutrients when applying to pasture – if the pond is not mixed it gives certain paddocks a high loading of nutrients and others next to nothing. It has been proven that even application while irrigating is key to greater returns.

Pond Stirrer Features

Not all pond stirrers are created equal.
Nevada pond stirrers are built to last with strong galvanised frames and reinforced slide bearings. Equipped with high-efficiency Typhoon™ propellers, the enormous mixing performance of the stirrers will homogenise thick surface crusts and quickly get the entire pond swirling.

Upon first appearances you might think that a pond stirrer is just a propeller at the end of a long pole, and therefore they must all be very similar. However, the extensive research and development that goes into Nevada stirrers has resulted in a far superior mixing performance.

Easy angle adjustment allows for optimum placement in the pond, and the reinforced slide bearings (with no sensitive oil seals) keep the mixer shaft turning through thick crust and vegetation. But the most important advantage of a Nevada stirrer is the specially formed 3-blade Typhoon™ propeller that can get the entire pond swirling.

Electric Shore-Mount vs PTO Tractor-Mount Slurry Mixers

The Nevada Electric and PTO pond stirrers are both excellent solutions. They both have strong galvanised frames, durable slide bearings and Nevada’s powerful propeller technology. However, the two mount systems provide certain advantages that will suit different pond situations or farmer preference.

PTO Pond StirrersElectric Pond Stirrers
Tractor-mount for mobility and manoeuvrabilityShore-mount for safety and convenience
Can be inserted into pond from different positionsSet and forget. Stirrer can be left running on a timer
Multiple ponds (contractors)Turn-key operation with complete FDE system
Low power requirements / low tractor revsLow power requirements
Good for ponds with extreme crust and vegetationQuiet operation
Good for daily / semi-daily use to maintain slurry
