Solids Separators

Solids separators are ideal for the following applications:

  • Using a pivot irrigation (as the larger solids will tend to clog the small nozzles)
  • If you’ve got excessive amounts of solids (often occurs with covered in feed pads)
  • May need a green water flood wash.
  • Generally when the ratio of solids to liquids is extremely high.
  • If solids are required for cropping paddocks, where it is not economic to spread effluent.

The advantage of separating solids from effluent is that you can use low application sprinklers, avoiding blockages in nozzles, and can reduce wear on the pump. The dried solids can then be spread onto crop paddocks at a later date, as a rich form of fertiliser (with a muck spreader).
Passive (Weeping Wall)
Uses gravity to separate the solids through a semi-permeable wall.

Mechanical (Screw Press, Vibration Screen)
Effluent is collected in a sump, then pumped through the separator.

  Refresh Captcha

Our Nevada electric pond mixer easily disperses any crust build-up and creates a whirlpool and gets the whole pond moving so the crust can't form again. Our pond is as clear as a lake now.
