Nevada RainWave™ Drag Hose System

Amazingly simple and simply amazing.
Spread high volumes of nutrient evenly, over longer distances.
Trusted for Safety and Reliability

Amazingly simple, and simply amazing

The unique Nevada RainWave™ Drag Hose System is designed for damp soils.  Using a high capacity pump, effluent is pumped through a layflat hose to a low pressure RainWave™ spreader.  The RainWave™ spreader is attached to your tractor’s 3 point linkage, dragging the hose behind it.  The selection of layflat hose for these systems is critical.  Not only must the hose be abrasion resistant, it also needs a high tensile pulling strength and high working pressure.

Packages for every situation

Nevada RainWave™ Drag Hose packages vary from tractor mounted PTO pumps with a single hose reel, through to state of the art diesel powered pump sets with multiple hose reels and controls compatible with GPS and smartphones.

Nevada RainWave™ Spreader

By using low pressure and an oscillating fan pattern, the Rainwave™ achieves a wider spread and produces larger droplets, meaning virtually no wind drift, so nutrients are spread evenly.

What's more, by using the Nevada Rainwave™, you'll get more from your nutrients!

How?  As the name suggests, the Rainwave™ uses low pressure to spread nutrients in a gentle rain pattern.  This reduces volitisation so nutrients are not lost to the atmosphere.

Benefits of Rainwave™ spreading

  • Far superior to splash plate spreading
  • Ideal alternative to dropper booms
  • Large droplet size, so very minimal wind drift
  • Better nutrient use
  • Gentle low-pressure rain pattern
  • Better for the environment
  • Less pasture damage
  • Low application depth (1-10mm)
  • Safe tractor speeds (less than 7km/h)
  • High volume (100m3/h - 200m3/h)
  • Very even spread pattern
  • Low maintenance
  • Handles thick slurry (up to 20% solids)

Farmer with Rainwave Drag Hose System

3 reasons farmers love using Rainwave™ systems

1. Nevada Rainwave™ systems give farmers the opportunity to apply large volumes of effluent at a low application depth.  This maximises the use of effluent pond nutrients without the risk of overflowing.

2. It’s possible to apply over 1,000,000 litres in one day!  Easily spread 10x the amount of a standard travelling irrigator at a depth as low as 2mm.

3. The Nevada Rainwave™ has a unique low pressure spread pattern which encapsulates nitrogen, making the best use of all the nutrients available.  You’ll have full control of the application, making it ideal for undulating and odd shaped paddocks.

Nevada Draghose

The Nevada Drag Hose system is ideal when you want to empty your effluent storage very quickly.  A mobile option, pump straight from storage and spread over multiple areas of the farm, and even over multiple farms without the limitations of fixed, in-ground piping.  It’s also ideal for farms who don’t have power running to their storage for an electric system, or for use in wet seasons where using a tanker is not possible.
