A change in resource consent meant Noel needed to install a system to apply effluent to land to replace his oxidation system that discharged treated effluent to a stream. So he reached out to a few suppliers looking for a solution that would be future-proofed and cost effective.
Noel knew of Nevada as Michael had visited him on the farm previously. After discussing Noel’s new requirements from the change in resource consent, and looking at the rest of Noel’s effluent management set up, Michael recommended an electric pumping system with a 5.5kW progressive cavity pump and Nevada electric stirrer. ‘If you can get electricity down to the pond, an electric pumping system is often the most cost effective solution in terms of power use and labour.’ Michael said.
Noel did his research and thoroughly compared a few providers, but ultimately chose Nevada as he felt confident the recommended solution would get the job done, the stirrer was better, and there was an overall price advantage.
The results?
‘We’re very happy with the system. Michael was very supportive through the whole project. It is up and running now and we are pleased with it.’
